Cambios Y BAUTISMOS!!!!

Hey everyone back home!!! I have mixed emotions about coming to the end of this change. I am super happy with all the hard work me and my companion Elder Vega put into this change. Super glad to see the gospel change the lives of the 4 people we baptized. Sad to be leaving this area after only one change here. Gonna miss my converts. Excited to be a senior companion! They are taking both me and Elder Vega out of Balcones and they are sending sister missionaries. Vega is going to be Zone Leader in Topo Chico. I am being sent to the farthest area South in the mission. Linares. My area is Allende and I am going as a Senior companion. I'm getting another white boy from Utah. His name is Elder Nighton. I have heard good things about him. They say my area is really pretty. That will be nice. I'll also be on bikes again. YAY!!!!! I love bikes!!!  We had our final district and zone meeting this last Tuesday. I cooked the cookies my mom sent me in the last package I got. Two Elders ...

Puros Bautismos!!

Hey everyone!! So super exciting news! We are having two more baptisms this Saturday! The family we found the week before last came with us to church again on Sunday and Angelica (mom) brought along her sister in law this time as well and we are teaching her now. This is the crazy thing. We met them on a friday, taught them for the first time on Saturday, came to church on Sunday, taught them on Tuesday and invited them to baptism and they said yes, taught them again on Wednesday and put the baptismal date for the 28th of October, taught them again on Saturday, came to church again on Sunday with an extra person to teach!!!!! Angelica and her son Jesus will both be getting baptized this Saturday!! This family is literally a miracle. And there are more of them that want to hear the message!! I am so happy right now!!! 4 baptisms in 3 weeks!!! We have been working our butts off and most of the time we haven't even been in our own area because of baptism interviews in the other areas ...

Semana de milagros

Hola a todos! this week was a crazy one. We were all over the place. This week, everyone in our district had a baptism. Since Elder Vega is District Leader we were running around to all the other areas to do baptismal interviews. Wednesday we had our baptism with Alfredo, but before the baptism we had to hop on a bus for half an hour to go to the area of the sister missionaries in our district to do interviews. We also had to rush back to our area and drain and clean the baptismal font and fill it again by the time our baptism started at 8:00 PM. Thursday we were in the area of the sisters again with the whole district doing our "Pulga de Salvación" contacting in a park and getting a ton of referances. Friday we were in the Area of Elders Blanco and Luke to do interviews again and Saturday was our baptism for José so that ment draining, cleaning, and filling the font again.  We were hardly in our own area this week but we still had a ton of success. The baptisms went well...

Distrito de cambio!!!

Hello everyone! Another week of hard work done. This week our district is going to have 6 baptisms! Me and Elder Vega are gonna be baptizing on Wednesday and Saturday. Super pumped for that! Oh and something else super cool! In Sabinas Hidalgo me and Elder Quilter found an inactive family who we got to come back to church and have been active ever since. They have a Son named Christopher who never got baptized. I think he is 11. Anyway I heard from Elder Quilter that he is gonna get baptized in one of these following weeks! It is cool to see that success in Sabinas and to know I had a part in that.  I also completed 6 MONTHS IN THE MISSION!!!!! The 4th of October was my 6 month mark. We had our Zone conference the day after so we went over to Elder Luke and Elder Blanco's house to stay the night so we could all get up early and get to the Zone conference on time. Burned an old tie we found for the 6 month ceremony haha and my companion bought me a cake! I love you Elder Vega!!!...

Puro Obediencia

Hey everyone! This week has been pretty eventfull. First off we got a ton of rain this last week. Every day was cloudy and rainy. We worked our butts off too. On Thursday we did a little activity as a district called the Pulga de Salvacion. Basically we got a table and a ton of pamphlets, cards, and Books of Mormon and set up in a market to contact. We had it set up for 5 minutes and it started to rain on us. So we packed up all the books and pamphlets so they wouldnt get wet, grabbed a bunch of handout cards, and went to work handing out cards and contacting. Even in the pouring rain. The poor sisters in our district didn-t have Jackets or umbrellas so I let them use mine and we continued on. Our Zone Leaders had told us that if it rained it might be better to cancel the activity, but we worked anyway and ended up with 12 new investigators in different areas so everyone got news.  In total me and Elder Vega ended our week with 14 new investigators. The two investigatorsn with bapt...
