Feliz Día de acción de gracias

Linares zone conference Hola mi familia y mis amigos! Les amo bastante y les extraño!! We had a small district Thanksgiving on Thursday in our appartment. All the food that my mom sent me in the last package was the perfect amount for 4 hungry Elders. The only latino in our district (Elder Cardenas) even got a little taste of American tradition and was his first time eating Turkey. He loved it! It was actually really great. I can't believe this Friday is December 1st. In one week I'll have been out here in the field for 8 months!! Time has already flown by and I can't believe the year is almost over.  We had our confirmation of Paty (who was baptized last week) yesterday during sacrament meeting so that was another great thing that happened this last week as well. Today we had our district meeting in Montemorelos before starting our P day and we had our zone activity as well which was pretty cool. We went and took pictures up on this huge monument with a ...

Bautismo y Servicio

Hola mi familia y mis amigos!!!  This last week was pretty great. On Thursday we had our zone conference which lasted literally all day. They work a little differently here in Linares since we are the farthest away. We not only have our zone conference but also our zone interviews with President McArthur so it takes almost double the time. We didn't get back to our area until 6:30 about.  Friday we did divisions with the zone leaders which was really cool. While me and Elder Aguilar (zone leader) were riding to an appointment we saw an older guy out in front of his house chopping some wood so we asked him if he could use some help and he said yes please. So we took half an hour and chopped wood in our church clothes haha. It was super cool and he offered us tomales.  Sunday we had our baptism of Paty. We had to go to the zone leaders area because we don't have a baptismal font since we are in just a house. After sacrament meeting we all piled into the back of ...

Hola a todos!

November 13th Hola a todos!!! This week was interesting. Almost every appointment that we had fell through this week so we did a ton of contacting. Our baptism ended up falling through as well because she drank coffe a couple days before. We moved the date to the 19th. We got her vsome packs of hot chocolate to help her stay off the coffe.  While we were contacting we found a sister that had been seeing the missionaries before and had even been to church but the missionaries stopped coming because she moved and so she stopped going to church. We talked to her and she actually loved the church meetings and wanted to take the discussions again and even get baptized. We put a baptismal date for her on the 3rd of December.  We had a really short P day today. Elder Knighton had to get his visa renewed so we had to go to the offices in the morning. We didn't get back until 3. While I was waiting at the offices I went and got my hair cut with Elder Pierce who is the secreta...

Demons Out!!!!!

So this week was pretty crazy with the unexpected getting moved to a new area thing. I got moved to a place called Allende. Little city down on the southern end of the mission. The area is super pretty. Mountains, hills, tons of palm trees and other big trees, rivers. It is a pretty rich city. Lots of big houses. We get bikes. I actually had to buy a bike because Elder Knightons last companion broke their other one really bad.  The branch is really small. We don't have a chappel it is a house of prayer. The church is really young here in Allende. They just formed the branch here two years ago. It is kinda cool to be a part of the building of the church here. We have already found tons of cool people to teach and we have a baptism coming up on the 12th. We almost had more investigators than members at church.  Sunday night we were visiting one of our new investigators and had an interesting experiance with him. So he believes in "La Santa Muerte" which means "...
