Puros Bautismos!!

Hey everyone!! So super exciting news! We are having two more baptisms this Saturday! The family we found the week before last came with us to church again on Sunday and Angelica (mom) brought along her sister in law this time as well and we are teaching her now. This is the crazy thing. We met them on a friday, taught them for the first time on Saturday, came to church on Sunday, taught them on Tuesday and invited them to baptism and they said yes, taught them again on Wednesday and put the baptismal date for the 28th of October, taught them again on Saturday, came to church again on Sunday with an extra person to teach!!!!! Angelica and her son Jesus will both be getting baptized this Saturday!! This family is literally a miracle. And there are more of them that want to hear the message!! I am so happy right now!!! 4 baptisms in 3 weeks!!! We have been working our butts off and most of the time we haven't even been in our own area because of baptism interviews in the other areas of our district. The field is white and ready to harvest here in Monterrey, Mitras, Santa Catarina, Balcones!!!! Love you all! I love this work!!

Jan 7 - Bad Toes

Jan. 7 well this last week was pretty eventful. Wednesday I had to go to the hospital to get both of my toes taken care of because I had ingrown toenails on both feet. Since it was both feet I've been unable to do anything for almost the whole week. Today I am going back to get the stitches out so I can get back to working. It isn't even cold down here. Well hope everyone has a really good week.  Elder Hoyt

Training

Hey everyone so I just finished my first week as a trainer. My new companion is Elder Peña from the Dominican Republic. He is 25 years old and is a convert of 2 and a half years. I almost feel like I am the one being trained here haha. He has so much gospel knowledge and has absolutely no problem with wanting to talk to people. He is also exactly obedient along with me. We have a baptism for the 31st coming up and we are finding more people to teach. I have a good feeling about the success we are going to have this change.  I am also excited for my Christmas call coming up on Monday next week!! I get to see my family! Tomorrow is our mission talent show/ christmas dinner and I'll be singing let it go haha.  I love you all! Talk to you next week New Trainers And your new trainee is........ 1 year mark!!!

Hey everyone! So this last week I hit my 1 year mark on the 4th! It is so weird. I don't feel like I have been out here for a year already. I have learned so much and for this last half I am going to apply what I have learned to bring out my full missionary potential!  This week we are going to be having a baptism on Saturday. And then we are going to be having changes next Tuesday so we'll see what happens there as well. I have been here in Allende for a while so there is a chance that I get changed. We are all pretty sure that Elder Hendricks is gonna be going too.  We had a cool opportunity to do some service on Saturday. We helped a guy cut some weeds and clean up his yard too. His neighbor thought we were crazy for coming here to Mexico for two years to help people, but was impressed as well.  Anyway, Love you all! Have a great week!
