Elder Dallin Hoyt

Hey! A few things happened in these last few days. First is that I got to give another blessing. The opportunities come from no where. Also We went on splits with a couple of the priests in the branch. It was a little nerve wracking but super awesome! Me and the priest I was with (Jerod) went and taught one of our investigators (Alfredo) about the restoration. Alfredo is super cool. He told us that he has been searching for the truth and when we told him about the Book of Mormon he wanted one and he wanted to come to church. Super awesome! And one of our other investigators (Panchis) accepted the invitation to be baptized and she came to church with us yesterday!! The work progresses here in Sabinas Hidalgo! Love you all Elder Hoyt P.S. I have lost 13 pounds already. And it was 130 degrees yesterday.

Wednesday, June 14th Hey everyone!  Short email today.  Sorry.  I have recordings too. I just want to share one experience that happened on my birthday.  It was a regular day because p day got changed.  At the end of the day we got a call from a sister in the branch.  She said she wanted a blessing.  We rode over there and Elder Peña told me that I would be giving the blessing.  I was so nervous because it was the first blessing I had ever given in Spanish. Hey Sorry I don´t have any recordings this week. There was a lot going on. We really only had three days of work this week because we had a district meeting on Tuesday that we had to go back to Monterrey for and didn't get back until late so we didn't get to do much on Tuesday. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday were our work days. We found a few new investigators.    I have a pretty cool experience to share. It happened while we were out contacting. We knocked on one door and this lady answered. We told her we were missionaries and she said she was a devout Catholic and didn´t want to hear our message. We asked her if there was anything that we could help her with because we do service as well. She said no but there is an older woman that lives across the street that can´t do a lot and could use our help. So we went over to her house.
