Holy Changes Batman!!!

Well. We got our changes yesterday. One heck of a crazy day it was. The craziness started in church. Our Stake president came anounced that the 12 stakes of Monterrey were now going to be changed. All ward boundries changed. Some wards now don't exist. They removed an entire stake. Our ward here in Solidaridad is now called the Fraile ward. It is now triple the size. Many wards were combined. This plan has been under taken over the last 3 years and now is finally ready. The idea was that every ward had every calling filled to make the work go smoother. Now, with all the ward boundry changes, that means that all the area boundries for us missionaries are going to be changed and adjusted. Basically a clean slate. Everything new accross all of Mopnterrey.  That was the info we got in sacrament meeting. It gets crazier. After lunch we got a call from President McArthur. Elder Rosales is going to be training this next change. That means I am leaving. Yup. After just one change they ...

TOE

Loved talking with Elder Hoyt on Mother's Day This week has been an interesting one. Last Monday I went to the doctors and got my toe fixed. I had a pretty bad ingrown toenail on my right foot that had gotten infected. So last Monday they fixed it up and for the whole week I've been walking around in sandals and taking a lot of taxis. According to the doctor, I wasn't supposed to walk for a week. But I didn't want to do that. So we took taxis and when we did walk we took rest intervals every now and then so it wouldn't be too much on the toe.  We are preparing for another baptism that we will be having on Saturday! Our zone is super excited for this final week of the change. We are looking good for at least 15 baptisms this change and a good probability of reaching 20. This next change is going to be really interesting. We are going to be getting a new mission President, 2 new stakes added to the mission, around 60 new missionaries, I'll be turning...

Temple

Hola a toda mi familia y a todos mis amigos! This last week went pretty well. We have a baptism coming up this week on Saturday. Our investigator who is going to get baptized is super excited. Her name is Ayde. She is a 25 year old single mom with 3 kids. She owns a little cyber cafe and is super ready. After she started reading the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true she said that she dreamed that God told her that it was so she has been firm in continuing the conversion process. We are super happy that she has taken this descision.  We got to go to the temple this morning. We woke up at 3:30 in the morning to make it accross the city to the 7:00 AM session. It went really well. Afterwards we had our zone activity which consisted of a Carne Asada (grill party) and a big game of capture the flag with water balloons. Tons of fun. We are all excited to be able to talk with our Moms and family on Mothers day. After this I will only have one video call left this...
