This information is from Janet Davis, Elder Davis Mom!  Thank you Janet!!!

So this is what I have found out about the company above. He receives the packages in Del Rio Texas and sends them to the Mission office} sends them by parcel every day and it takes 2 days to arrive. You can send it any day. Yes, he will also give the service to buy things in Walmart USA and send them to your missionary

The purchase service does not have a cost, only the $35 of the shipment & of course the cost of buying the items. He sends it to a Parcel  company of  Mexico, (Estafeta, DHL Mexico, Fedex Mexico). Yes, he said he uses the safest companies. as the shipment is Mexico-Mexico, it is safer and you avoid the risk of loss or theft that is in the shipments USA-Mexico. I am here to help you, his name is Alberto Mahonry Alvarez Decena. He is a member and ex-missionary. He said he has a calling and a recommendation from the Temple. The famlies send him the payment in cash in an envelope to Alberto Alvarez inside the package. So once they get it from you it takes 2-3 days to get to the mission home...  Charged $35.00

Each package we are charged $35.00. I asked How do you know that when you mail it off it will get to the mission home with nothing being opened or nothing missing? There is always that risk, to reduce this risk I look for the most reliable package companies. Of all the packages I have sent I have not had this problem.

Another option is to deliver them personally, but we would have to wait to have several packages to go every 15 days.  Sorry its long but wanted to let you all know what I found out.  I also found a few other ones but this one I think is the best so far.

  1. Just like as you’ve mentioned in your post, I also got the price quotes from many courier services to find an appropriate one for my online business. We finally went with Delivery services Fort Worth, as their rates were quite inexpensive and they also had good reviews from their existing clients and customers.

Jan 7 - Bad Toes

Jan. 7 well this last week was pretty eventful. Wednesday I had to go to the hospital to get both of my toes taken care of because I had ingrown toenails on both feet. Since it was both feet I've been unable to do anything for almost the whole week. Today I am going back to get the stitches out so I can get back to working. It isn't even cold down here. Well hope everyone has a really good week.  Elder Hoyt

Training

Hey everyone so I just finished my first week as a trainer. My new companion is Elder Peña from the Dominican Republic. He is 25 years old and is a convert of 2 and a half years. I almost feel like I am the one being trained here haha. He has so much gospel knowledge and has absolutely no problem with wanting to talk to people. He is also exactly obedient along with me. We have a baptism for the 31st coming up and we are finding more people to teach. I have a good feeling about the success we are going to have this change.  I am also excited for my Christmas call coming up on Monday next week!! I get to see my family! Tomorrow is our mission talent show/ christmas dinner and I'll be singing let it go haha.  I love you all! Talk to you next week New Trainers And your new trainee is........ Elder Pena from the Dominican Republic Trainers and Trainees posing with the Pres.

1 year mark!!!

Hey everyone! So this last week I hit my 1 year mark on the 4th! It is so weird. I don't feel like I have been out here for a year already. I have learned so much and for this last half I am going to apply what I have learned to bring out my full missionary potential!  This week we are going to be having a baptism on Saturday. And then we are going to be having changes next Tuesday so we'll see what happens there as well. I have been here in Allende for a while so there is a chance that I get changed. We are all pretty sure that Elder Hendricks is gonna be going too.  We had a cool opportunity to do some service on Saturday. We helped a guy cut some weeds and clean up his yard too. His neighbor thought we were crazy for coming here to Mexico for two years to help people, but was impressed as well.  Anyway, Love you all! Have a great week! Elder Hoyt (Elder Hoyt says that time is going by so fast and that he can't believe that it has been a year alrea...
