I have faught the good fight

Hola familia, amigos y todos en casa! I don't even know how I can describe how I'm feeling right now...This will be my final email home. Tomorrow I'm getting on a plane to return home after almost 2 years of service in the Lords vineyard. I'm going home 1 transfer early because of health issues. Reaching 22 months in the field. I'll be ending with 10 companions, 6 areas, and 4 zones. My final asignment being a Zone Leader in the best zone ever, San Nicolas! I started the mission in this zone in the area of Sabinas Hidalgo and now have the priveledge of ending as one of it's leaders. In these 2 years I have learned so much. I have strengthened my testimony in Jesus Christ and in his Church. I know that this is his work and that just because I'm going home doesn't mean that it's over. I have loved my time here in the Mexico Monterrey West Mission and have made many more friends and gotten to know more of my brothers and sisters and help them strengthen...

Jan 21 - Stitches out, ready to work

Hola como están? This last week went by really well. We had a lot of divisions with the Elders in the zone. On Thursday we had our zone conference with the Anahuac zone and the day before we had done interchanges with the Elders in Sabinas Hidalgo so my companion had gone an hour and a half up to Sabinas and I stayed in our area. Their bus back, the day of the zone conference, got really delayed because of a bad crash and they didn't show up until 3 hours later. I had to represent the San Nicolas zone and train everyone by myself, but it went well. We talked a lot about our purpose as missionaries and how we can better teach with authority and with the Spirit and that we shouldn't fear.  Friday I got my stiches out of my toes and I'll be in sandals for one more week and then be able to put on shoes probably. I can finally get out and work now. The good thing is that it hasn't gotten cold because riding a bike in Janruary with sandals normally wouldn't be a good ...

Jan 14 - Toes

Hola familia y amigos en casa! This week was about the same as last week. Still had to be not moving all week because of stitches in my toes. So I'll actually be getting them out this Friday. The good thing about this last week was that we actually had the chance to do a lot of divisions with the Elders in the zone and get work done in our area. I had the opportunity to talk with a lot of the Elders about how they are doing, about their areas, and help with any questions and give suggestions on how they become better missionaries. It was a great way to personally minister  to a lot of the Elders in the zone.  I'm able to walk an hour a day right now which isn't very much but I'm getting better. I love all you guys! Hope you have an amazing week! Elder Hoyt

Jan 7 - Bad Toes

Jan. 7 well this last week was pretty eventful. Wednesday I had to go to the hospital to get both of my toes taken care of because I had ingrown toenails on both feet. Since it was both feet I've been unable to do anything for almost the whole week. Today I am going back to get the stitches out so I can get back to working. It isn't even cold down here. Well hope everyone has a really good week.  Elder Hoyt
