Training

Hey everyone so I just finished my first week as a trainer. My new companion is Elder Peña from the Dominican Republic. He is 25 years old and is a convert of 2 and a half years. I almost feel like I am the one being trained here haha. He has so much gospel knowledge and has absolutely no problem with wanting to talk to people. He is also exactly obedient along with me. We have a baptism for the 31st coming up and we are finding more people to teach. I have a good feeling about the success we are going to have this change.  I am also excited for my Christmas call coming up on Monday next week!! I get to see my family! Tomorrow is our mission talent show/ christmas dinner and I'll be singing let it go haha.  I love you all! Talk to you next week New Trainers And your new trainee is........ Snow, Cambios, and Explosions

This week was pretty insane!!! First off we had an extreme temperature change. We went from being in the high 70s to below freezing in three days. On friday we also woke up to a little Christmas surprise that almost never occurs down here in Monterrey. We got SNOW!!!! We woke up and it was snowing on Friday morning. It was sticking to the ground and everything! Of course it only lasted a couple hours and we got pictures. It was sunshine and dry before 3 the same day haha. Still it has been cold for the rest of the week.  We got the changes yesterday! And I am going to be TRAINING!!!!!!!! Wooooooo!! I'm super excited and nervous for this opportunity. Elder Knighton is going to be zone leader in a new zone and Elder Hendricks' new companion is going to be our new district leader. It was crazy because right after the assistants called to tell us the changes, the Tigres soccer team won the championship game against the Rayados and the streets became flooded with trucks and cars...

workin hard

Hey everyone don't have much to report but I am doing great down here in Mexico and I am really missing the snow. Today I think it was in the high 70s. This past week it has been sunshine all around with hot temperatures. Still feels like we haven't even hit middle of fall yet, let alone December. All the Christmas decorations feel out of place in the heat and sun. It is supposed to get a little colder this next week and drop into the 50s but still not really bad at all.  Other than the out of place weather conditions nothing has really changed. We are finding good people to teach and awaiting to see what the changes are going to be this next Sunday.  We have been focusing on finding families and using the Book of Mormon in every contact and this last week we found several cool families. We had a couple come to church yesterday and then to the First Presidency Christmas devotional as well.   I love you all! Have a good week! Elder Hoyt District P D...
