Distrito de cambio!!!

Hello everyone! Another week of hard work done. This week our district is going to have 6 baptisms! Me and Elder Vega are gonna be baptizing on Wednesday and Saturday. Super pumped for that! Oh and something else super cool! In Sabinas Hidalgo me and Elder Quilter found an inactive family who we got to come back to church and have been active ever since. They have a Son named Christopher who never got baptized. I think he is 11. Anyway I heard from Elder Quilter that he is gonna get baptized in one of these following weeks! It is cool to see that success in Sabinas and to know I had a part in that.

I also completed 6 MONTHS IN THE MISSION!!!!! The 4th of October was my 6 month mark. We had our Zone conference the day after so we went over to Elder Luke and Elder Blanco's house to stay the night so we could all get up early and get to the Zone conference on time. Burned an old tie we found for the 6 month ceremony haha and my companion bought me a cake! I love you Elder Vega!!! I am super happy to be here serving a mission and I know that what I am out here sharing with others is for their benefit and is true. I love you guys!!

Jan 7 - Bad Toes

Jan. 7 well this last week was pretty eventful. Wednesday I had to go to the hospital to get both of my toes taken care of because I had ingrown toenails on both feet. Since it was both feet I've been unable to do anything for almost the whole week. Today I am going back to get the stitches out so I can get back to working. It isn't even cold down here. Well hope everyone has a really good week.  Elder Hoyt

Training

Hey everyone so I just finished my first week as a trainer. My new companion is Elder Peña from the Dominican Republic. He is 25 years old and is a convert of 2 and a half years. I almost feel like I am the one being trained here haha. He has so much gospel knowledge and has absolutely no problem with wanting to talk to people. He is also exactly obedient along with me. We have a baptism for the 31st coming up and we are finding more people to teach. I have a good feeling about the success we are going to have this change.  I am also excited for my Christmas call coming up on Monday next week!! I get to see my family! Tomorrow is our mission talent show/ christmas dinner and I'll be singing let it go haha.  I love you all! Talk to you next week New Trainers And your new trainee is........ 1 year mark!!!

Hey everyone! So this last week I hit my 1 year mark on the 4th! It is so weird. I don't feel like I have been out here for a year already. I have learned so much and for this last half I am going to apply what I have learned to bring out my full missionary potential!  This week we are going to be having a baptism on Saturday. And then we are going to be having changes next Tuesday so we'll see what happens there as well. I have been here in Allende for a while so there is a chance that I get changed. We are all pretty sure that Elder Hendricks is gonna be going too.  We had a cool opportunity to do some service on Saturday. We helped a guy cut some weeds and clean up his yard too. His neighbor thought we were crazy for coming here to Mexico for two years to help people, but was impressed as well.  Anyway, Love you all! Have a great week!
