I have faught the good fight

Hola familia, amigos y todos en casa! I don't even know how I can describe how I'm feeling right now...This will be my final email home. Tomorrow I'm getting on a plane to return home after almost 2 years of service in the Lords vineyard. I'm going home 1 transfer early because of health issues. Reaching 22 months in the field. I'll be ending with 10 companions, 6 areas, and 4 zones. My final asignment being a Zone Leader in the best zone ever, San Nicolas! I started the mission in this zone in the area of Sabinas Hidalgo and now have the priveledge of ending as one of it's leaders. In these 2 years I have learned so much. I have strengthened my testimony in Jesus Christ and in his Church. I know that this is his work and that just because I'm going home doesn't mean that it's over. I have loved my time here in the Mexico Monterrey West Mission and have made many more friends and gotten to know more of my brothers and sisters and help them strengthen their relationship with God and with his son Jesus Christ. I have had the priveledge to see this Gospel bless and change the lives of many people and it most certainly has changed mine. I love the people here in Mexico and this place will always have a special location in my heart. I've done all that I came here to do. I have faught the good fight!

I love you all and see you soon.

This is Elder Hoyt signing off for the last time.

Jan 7 - Bad Toes

Jan. 7 well this last week was pretty eventful. Wednesday I had to go to the hospital to get both of my toes taken care of because I had ingrown toenails on both feet. Since it was both feet I've been unable to do anything for almost the whole week. Today I am going back to get the stitches out so I can get back to working. It isn't even cold down here. Well hope everyone has a really good week.  Elder Hoyt

Training

Hey everyone so I just finished my first week as a trainer. My new companion is Elder Peña from the Dominican Republic. He is 25 years old and is a convert of 2 and a half years. I almost feel like I am the one being trained here haha. He has so much gospel knowledge and has absolutely no problem with wanting to talk to people. He is also exactly obedient along with me. We have a baptism for the 31st coming up and we are finding more people to teach. I have a good feeling about the success we are going to have this change.  I am also excited for my Christmas call coming up on Monday next week!! I get to see my family! Tomorrow is our mission talent show/ christmas dinner and I'll be singing let it go haha.  I love you all! Talk to you next week New Trainers And your new trainee is........ Elder Pena from the Dominican Republic Trainers and Trainees posing with the Pres.

1 year mark!!!

Hey everyone! So this last week I hit my 1 year mark on the 4th! It is so weird. I don't feel like I have been out here for a year already. I have learned so much and for this last half I am going to apply what I have learned to bring out my full missionary potential!  This week we are going to be having a baptism on Saturday. And then we are going to be having changes next Tuesday so we'll see what happens there as well. I have been here in Allende for a while so there is a chance that I get changed. We are all pretty sure that Elder Hendricks is gonna be going too.  We had a cool opportunity to do some service on Saturday. We helped a guy cut some weeds and clean up his yard too. His neighbor thought we were crazy for coming here to Mexico for two years to help people, but was impressed as well.  Anyway, Love you all! Have a great week! Elder Hoyt (Elder Hoyt says that time is going by so fast and that he can't believe that it has been a year alrea...
