September is almost over

9/24

Hola familia y amigos! Well, we are coming to the end of September already. CRAZY! The time is literally disapearing. It is just starting to hit me how little time I really have left. We are entering October next week and I go back in March. I 've gotten this extra fire, it seems, to keep working and give it my all right up until the end.  With the end of the month is coming a new transfer as well. I've been a Zone Leader for almost a month and a half already and it feels like it's only been a couple weeks. We'll see what happens on Sunday when they tell us what the changes are going to be. 4 transfers left. Out of the 17 I am down to 4.

This last week was fairly normal. A lot of work as usual and a lot of oposition coming in at the last minute with some of our investigators as usual. We have found several new people that seem very promising. A couple (Omar and Idalia) and a few other singles (Viridiana, Eva, and Guadalupe) We had a baptism in the zone, I did the interview on Friday. Came from the Elders in my old area so that made me happy.

The rain went away for a couple of days and we've had some serious humidity. We should be getting rain again starting Thursday and going until Saturday.

We are excited for General conference coming up in a couple of weeks and we are inviting everyone to come. We are hoping to get a lot of attendance.

Les amo a todos! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Elder Hoyt

P.S. If you find any miss spelled words or incorrect grammar, forgive me. I am constantly translating my thoughts since now all mi thoughts are in Spanish.

Jan 7 - Bad Toes

Jan. 7 well this last week was pretty eventful. Wednesday I had to go to the hospital to get both of my toes taken care of because I had ingrown toenails on both feet. Since it was both feet I've been unable to do anything for almost the whole week. Today I am going back to get the stitches out so I can get back to working. It isn't even cold down here. Well hope everyone has a really good week.  Elder Hoyt

Training

Hey everyone so I just finished my first week as a trainer. My new companion is Elder Peña from the Dominican Republic. He is 25 years old and is a convert of 2 and a half years. I almost feel like I am the one being trained here haha. He has so much gospel knowledge and has absolutely no problem with wanting to talk to people. He is also exactly obedient along with me. We have a baptism for the 31st coming up and we are finding more people to teach. I have a good feeling about the success we are going to have this change.  I am also excited for my Christmas call coming up on Monday next week!! I get to see my family! Tomorrow is our mission talent show/ christmas dinner and I'll be singing let it go haha.  I love you all! Talk to you next week New Trainers And your new trainee is........ Elder Pena from the Dominican Republic Trainers and Trainees posing with the Pres.

1 year mark!!!

Hey everyone! So this last week I hit my 1 year mark on the 4th! It is so weird. I don't feel like I have been out here for a year already. I have learned so much and for this last half I am going to apply what I have learned to bring out my full missionary potential!  This week we are going to be having a baptism on Saturday. And then we are going to be having changes next Tuesday so we'll see what happens there as well. I have been here in Allende for a while so there is a chance that I get changed. We are all pretty sure that Elder Hendricks is gonna be going too.  We had a cool opportunity to do some service on Saturday. We helped a guy cut some weeds and clean up his yard too. His neighbor thought we were crazy for coming here to Mexico for two years to help people, but was impressed as well.  Anyway, Love you all! Have a great week!
