Hola everyone! This week was a really awesome one. Of course one of the best parts of the week was the opportunity to watch General Conference. Saturday morning was pretty crazy with the anouncement of he new church times and the program for teaching at home. I believe it will be a blessing for those who really take advantage of it. There were several talks that I really enjoyed including the ones given by Elder Bednar, Elder Holland, Elder Ballard, andPresident Eyring. There were at least 3 speakers who talked about taking upon us the name of Christ and while listening to the conference it has made me reflect on how I can center my life even more on Christ and his teachings. As a missionary we all literally are wearing his name every day and are his oficial representatives, but even as missionaries there are moments that we need to be reminded. Ending conference I have left with a desire to focus more on being more like the Savior and in everything I do and say, have Christ be at the center. No matter the hard times that will come.
The crazy cool part was the anouncement at the end of the 12 temples to be built! 1 of which in Utah. 20 temples in utah. haha. It was cool to hear about the temple in Puebla Mexico! Everyone got really excited. There is a sister missionary in our zone who lives close to there so she was really happy.
Now about our investigators. This week was a crazy scramble to finish all the paperwork for our couple who are going to get married this Friday. Today wefinally got everything finished and submitted and we are all ready for the wedding on Friday at 3:00 pm. The wife will be baptized on Saturday the following day and confirmed that Sunday on her Birthday. It is going to be an awesome weekend for us. We have yet another couple, who by the end of this week will be ready to start their paperwork for their upcoming marriage as well. We have several others who came to conference with us and are progressing well towards baptism. So we've been super busy on that end.
And now the zone. We ended the month of September with 15 baptisms and this month we have set the goal of 16. Right now we are looking good. One thing that's going to be super crazy the rest of this change is that one of our District Leaders is no longer District Leader. We got the call from the asistants last night and they didn't tell us why, but now me and my companion, on top of being Zone Leaders, are now in charge of being the District Leaders of this other district since President didn't want to asign anyone else. And this next change is going to be crazy because we are going to be getting 24 new missiopnaries coming in. 22 came in this change and another 24 are coming. So what that means for us is that we have to open a lot of new areas. Tomorrow we have our council meeting for all the ZLs and there we will be adressing this issue and bringing ideas for new areas within our zone.......Oh the life of a ZL. haha we are soooo busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Weather has started to cool of a little. We are well into the rainy season and it's been off and on for the last 3 weeks, but I'm not complaining. I'm loving it still and working hard and doing my best to help the Elders and Sisters in our Zone.
Well I love you all! Hope you have a wonderfull week.
