Bright sun shining days

Hola familia y amigos en casa! Me and Elder Ruiz had a really amazing week this week. During the week, before Saturday, we were working really hard to get several investigators and recent converts ready to go to the temple and organizing our baptisms on Sunday. On Wednesday we had the opportunity to give 3 different blessings to investigators and members who were sick.

Saturday was our ward temple trip and we had 2 of our converts who went with us and did baptisms for the first time and they loved it. We also had 2 investigators who came and walked the grounds and by the end of the trip they wanted to come back and the next time go inside. They are willing and want to get baptized but the only problem is waiting a little for them to get married. It was wonderful to get back into the temple and better when we saw converts enter and have that kind of spiritual experience.

Sunday we had the baptisms of our 2 investigators, Angel and his daughter Angie. The services started at 8:30 in the morning and they had all the family there. Angel is engaged to a member of the ward and are planning there marriage in April and their sealing in October of next year. The sister was so happy and they are all looking forward to the next step in a year when they can become an eternal family. Me and Ruiz got to confirm them both in the sacrament meeting which falled right after the baptism. I also gave a talk haha.

Today we had a fun zone activity playing soccer and eating tacos. Sun has been out the last 3 days and we've been up in the 70s.  All in all a wonderful week.

Only thing that's been bugging me is shaving. It's starting to hurt more and more as my facial hair has been getting thicker and growing back faster. Haha

Well I love you all and hope you have an awesome week and a spooky Halloween. Eat lots of candy for me!

Jan 7 - Bad Toes

Jan. 7 well this last week was pretty eventful. Wednesday I had to go to the hospital to get both of my toes taken care of because I had ingrown toenails on both feet. Since it was both feet I've been unable to do anything for almost the whole week. Today I am going back to get the stitches out so I can get back to working. It isn't even cold down here. Well hope everyone has a really good week.  Elder Hoyt

Training

Hey everyone so I just finished my first week as a trainer. My new companion is Elder Peña from the Dominican Republic. He is 25 years old and is a convert of 2 and a half years. I almost feel like I am the one being trained here haha. He has so much gospel knowledge and has absolutely no problem with wanting to talk to people. He is also exactly obedient along with me. We have a baptism for the 31st coming up and we are finding more people to teach. I have a good feeling about the success we are going to have this change.  I am also excited for my Christmas call coming up on Monday next week!! I get to see my family! Tomorrow is our mission talent show/ christmas dinner and I'll be singing let it go haha.  I love you all! Talk to you next week New Trainers And your new trainee is........ 1 year mark!!!

Hey everyone! So this last week I hit my 1 year mark on the 4th! It is so weird. I don't feel like I have been out here for a year already. I have learned so much and for this last half I am going to apply what I have learned to bring out my full missionary potential!  This week we are going to be having a baptism on Saturday. And then we are going to be having changes next Tuesday so we'll see what happens there as well. I have been here in Allende for a while so there is a chance that I get changed. We are all pretty sure that Elder Hendricks is gonna be going too.  We had a cool opportunity to do some service on Saturday. We helped a guy cut some weeds and clean up his yard too. His neighbor thought we were crazy for coming here to Mexico for two years to help people, but was impressed as well.  Anyway, Love you all! Have a great week!
