Zone conference, Interviews, and BIKES!!

Hola familia y amigos! This last week we had a lot going on with our zone conference on Tuesday and Interviews with President Maucotel on Wednesday. The zone conference went really well and we got several rule changes in the mission now. Some pretty cool. Here are a few: Schedule change, now waking up at 6:30 and going to bed at 10:30. Leaving and returning to the house earlier. P days we have to use missionary clothing in public. We get an hour and a half writing home instead of an hour. No cameras while proselyting but we get them on P days. And a few other minor details regarding zone and district activities. All in all I am pretty ok with the changes that were made.

The next day we had interviews with President. They were short regular interviews and it was nice to get to now President and Sister Maucotel a little more personally. The greatest thing about interviews was that President brought me my bike! I'm back on bikes again baby! Wooooo! Hahaha I have missed being on the bikes. They are going to be a huge help for us here in the area. We've been having a few technical issues with Elder Catmull's bike like a few flat tires but we are getting all the kinks worked out of it.

Crazy to think that this Saturday I'll have been out here 16 months. And right now I have about 7 and a half months left. The time flys too fast it seems. Something cool is that our zone met our goal of 16 baptisms for the month of July! Every companionship in my District baptized this month as well so that made me feel good. So weird that we are already entering into August. Well lot's of great things are happening here in the mission. I love you all and I miss you. I'll see you in a little bit ha.

Jan 7 - Bad Toes

Jan. 7 well this last week was pretty eventful. Wednesday I had to go to the hospital to get both of my toes taken care of because I had ingrown toenails on both feet. Since it was both feet I've been unable to do anything for almost the whole week. Today I am going back to get the stitches out so I can get back to working. It isn't even cold down here. Well hope everyone has a really good week.  Elder Hoyt

Training

Hey everyone so I just finished my first week as a trainer. My new companion is Elder Peña from the Dominican Republic. He is 25 years old and is a convert of 2 and a half years. I almost feel like I am the one being trained here haha. He has so much gospel knowledge and has absolutely no problem with wanting to talk to people. He is also exactly obedient along with me. We have a baptism for the 31st coming up and we are finding more people to teach. I have a good feeling about the success we are going to have this change.  I am also excited for my Christmas call coming up on Monday next week!! I get to see my family! Tomorrow is our mission talent show/ christmas dinner and I'll be singing let it go haha.  I love you all! Talk to you next week New Trainers And your new trainee is........ 1 year mark!!!

Hey everyone! So this last week I hit my 1 year mark on the 4th! It is so weird. I don't feel like I have been out here for a year already. I have learned so much and for this last half I am going to apply what I have learned to bring out my full missionary potential!  This week we are going to be having a baptism on Saturday. And then we are going to be having changes next Tuesday so we'll see what happens there as well. I have been here in Allende for a while so there is a chance that I get changed. We are all pretty sure that Elder Hendricks is gonna be going too.  We had a cool opportunity to do some service on Saturday. We helped a guy cut some weeds and clean up his yard too. His neighbor thought we were crazy for coming here to Mexico for two years to help people, but was impressed as well.  Anyway, Love you all! Have a great week!
