Goodbye President McAurther

Buenas tardes damas y caballeros. Este Sábado pasado tuvimos que despedirnos de nuestro Presidente de misión. Presidente McArthur y su esposa regresaron a sus casas Sábado en la mañana y ayer llego nuestro nuevo presidente.

Our new mission president has arrived. Still haven't had the chance to meet him yet, but on the 10th we have changes so maybe something will be going down then. Our mission is now officially bigger, with two new stakes (Apodaca and Moderna) along with 50 new missionaries. 38 Elders and 12 Sisters. Tuesday next week we will know how the mission is going to be organized and we will have our changes.

The heat is pretty intense. The 14th of this month is the start of The Canicula. Super excited!!!..........no, not really. I hate the heat! Never going to get used to it. The good thing is that this is going to be my last one. Ready to get it over with. Something really weird that I just realized is that my 18 month mark is in 3 months. How is it possible that the time goes by so fast?!

Today we had our zone activity. We played soccer and volley ball and then we all got pizza. So much sweat! Man did we stink afterwords. hahaha poor sisters. We have 2 sisters in the zone.

Super tired. But we are excited for this last week. As a mission we have the chance to get more baptisms in a single change than we have ever gotten. We are all giving our all to make it happen. Well. I love you all! Hope you have an amazing week.

Elder Hoyt

Jan 7 - Bad Toes

Jan. 7 well this last week was pretty eventful. Wednesday I had to go to the hospital to get both of my toes taken care of because I had ingrown toenails on both feet. Since it was both feet I've been unable to do anything for almost the whole week. Today I am going back to get the stitches out so I can get back to working. It isn't even cold down here. Well hope everyone has a really good week.  Elder Hoyt

Training

Hey everyone so I just finished my first week as a trainer. My new companion is Elder Peña from the Dominican Republic. He is 25 years old and is a convert of 2 and a half years. I almost feel like I am the one being trained here haha. He has so much gospel knowledge and has absolutely no problem with wanting to talk to people. He is also exactly obedient along with me. We have a baptism for the 31st coming up and we are finding more people to teach. I have a good feeling about the success we are going to have this change.  I am also excited for my Christmas call coming up on Monday next week!! I get to see my family! Tomorrow is our mission talent show/ christmas dinner and I'll be singing let it go haha.  I love you all! Talk to you next week New Trainers And your new trainee is........ Elder Pena from the Dominican Republic Trainers and Trainees posing with the Pres.

1 year mark!!!

Hey everyone! So this last week I hit my 1 year mark on the 4th! It is so weird. I don't feel like I have been out here for a year already. I have learned so much and for this last half I am going to apply what I have learned to bring out my full missionary potential!  This week we are going to be having a baptism on Saturday. And then we are going to be having changes next Tuesday so we'll see what happens there as well. I have been here in Allende for a while so there is a chance that I get changed. We are all pretty sure that Elder Hendricks is gonna be going too.  We had a cool opportunity to do some service on Saturday. We helped a guy cut some weeds and clean up his yard too. His neighbor thought we were crazy for coming here to Mexico for two years to help people, but was impressed as well.  Anyway, Love you all! Have a great week!
