Temple

Hola a toda mi familia y a todos mis amigos! This last week went pretty well. We have a baptism coming up this week on Saturday. Our investigator who is going to get baptized is super excited. Her name is Ayde. She is a 25 year old single mom with 3 kids. She owns a little cyber cafe and is super ready. After she started reading the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true she said that she dreamed that God told her that it was so she has been firm in continuing the conversion process. We are super happy that she has taken this descision.

We got to go to the temple this morning. We woke up at 3:30 in the morning to make it accross the city to the 7:00 AM session. It went really well. Afterwards we had our zone activity which consisted of a Carne Asada (grill party) and a big game of capture the flag with water balloons. Tons of fun. We are all excited to be able to talk with our Moms and family on Mothers day. After this I will only have one video call left this Christmas. We are already almost half way through the year. On the 20th of this month I will have 10 months left. Crazy!!!! The time is going by rediculously fast.

Anyway I love you all!! Wish you all the best. For the Mothers in my family and those who read this email i would like to say...Feliz Día De Las Madres!! (Happy Mothers Day in Mexican😜) Love you!

Jan 7 - Bad Toes

Jan. 7 well this last week was pretty eventful. Wednesday I had to go to the hospital to get both of my toes taken care of because I had ingrown toenails on both feet. Since it was both feet I've been unable to do anything for almost the whole week. Today I am going back to get the stitches out so I can get back to working. It isn't even cold down here. Well hope everyone has a really good week.  Elder Hoyt

Training

Hey everyone so I just finished my first week as a trainer. My new companion is Elder Peña from the Dominican Republic. He is 25 years old and is a convert of 2 and a half years. I almost feel like I am the one being trained here haha. He has so much gospel knowledge and has absolutely no problem with wanting to talk to people. He is also exactly obedient along with me. We have a baptism for the 31st coming up and we are finding more people to teach. I have a good feeling about the success we are going to have this change.  I am also excited for my Christmas call coming up on Monday next week!! I get to see my family! Tomorrow is our mission talent show/ christmas dinner and I'll be singing let it go haha.  I love you all! Talk to you next week New Trainers And your new trainee is........ 1 year mark!!!

Hey everyone! So this last week I hit my 1 year mark on the 4th! It is so weird. I don't feel like I have been out here for a year already. I have learned so much and for this last half I am going to apply what I have learned to bring out my full missionary potential!  This week we are going to be having a baptism on Saturday. And then we are going to be having changes next Tuesday so we'll see what happens there as well. I have been here in Allende for a while so there is a chance that I get changed. We are all pretty sure that Elder Hendricks is gonna be going too.  We had a cool opportunity to do some service on Saturday. We helped a guy cut some weeds and clean up his yard too. His neighbor thought we were crazy for coming here to Mexico for two years to help people, but was impressed as well.  Anyway, Love you all! Have a great week!
