Cambios!!!

Well this last week went very well for us. Me and Elder Salas ended our week with 84 invitations to baptism and our baptism went through smoothly on Saturday. She was confirmed yesterday. Saturday was pretty crazy actually. We had a baptism in the morning at the river for Elder Clegg and Elder Hendricks and then ours was at 7 at night in Montemorelos. On our way to Elder Clegg and Hendricks baptism Elder Salas fell off his bike haha. He is ok. Nothing happened. Just fell in a puddle.

All in all I think I'm leaving Allende on a good note. Yes that is right. We got changes. I am being sent to the zone Solidaridad in Monterrey. I've been here in Allende for basically 6 months so I guess it was time to move on. My new companion is Elder Rosales. He is from Mexico. Elder Hendricks is also going. And guess what! He is also going to the same zone of Solidaridadf! We are actually going to be in the same district again hahaha. My area is Solidaridad B and Elder Hendricks is going to Lincoln B. Elder Salas' last area. And his new companion is Elder Tenango who was Elder Salas' last companion as well. How crazy is that.Me and Elder Hendricks are just going to be going everywhere together.

Our bus leaves from here at 7:55 tonight and we are gonna spend the night there in the mission home. I am already packed and ready to go. Elder Johansen is the new secretary of materials in the offices by the way so that is cool. Anyway. I'll get you all the email next week explaining about my new companion and my new area and zone.

I love you all! Have a great week!

Elder Hoyt

Part of Elder Hendricks letter: But its crazy, Elder Hoyt is leaving too, but we're going to be in the same district again. That means when we go to our weekly meetings, we'll be in the same meeting! Its crazy! It will be really good to have him there with me! ts going to be good to be with Hoyt. It'll be fun. Hes a good kid.

Jan 7 - Bad Toes

Jan. 7 well this last week was pretty eventful. Wednesday I had to go to the hospital to get both of my toes taken care of because I had ingrown toenails on both feet. Since it was both feet I've been unable to do anything for almost the whole week. Today I am going back to get the stitches out so I can get back to working. It isn't even cold down here. Well hope everyone has a really good week.  Elder Hoyt

Training

Hey everyone so I just finished my first week as a trainer. My new companion is Elder Peña from the Dominican Republic. He is 25 years old and is a convert of 2 and a half years. I almost feel like I am the one being trained here haha. He has so much gospel knowledge and has absolutely no problem with wanting to talk to people. He is also exactly obedient along with me. We have a baptism for the 31st coming up and we are finding more people to teach. I have a good feeling about the success we are going to have this change.  I am also excited for my Christmas call coming up on Monday next week!! I get to see my family! Tomorrow is our mission talent show/ christmas dinner and I'll be singing let it go haha.  I love you all! Talk to you next week New Trainers And your new trainee is........ Elder Pena from the Dominican Republic Trainers and Trainees posing with the Pres.

1 year mark!!!

Hey everyone! So this last week I hit my 1 year mark on the 4th! It is so weird. I don't feel like I have been out here for a year already. I have learned so much and for this last half I am going to apply what I have learned to bring out my full missionary potential!  This week we are going to be having a baptism on Saturday. And then we are going to be having changes next Tuesday so we'll see what happens there as well. I have been here in Allende for a while so there is a chance that I get changed. We are all pretty sure that Elder Hendricks is gonna be going too.  We had a cool opportunity to do some service on Saturday. We helped a guy cut some weeds and clean up his yard too. His neighbor thought we were crazy for coming here to Mexico for two years to help people, but was impressed as well.  Anyway, Love you all! Have a great week!
