El Extra!!

Hello everyone back home. We had our Zone Conference this last week and we had a super spiritual experience. We talked a lot about having the faith necessary to complete our goals. We are continuing with our commitment to invite 80 people to baptism every week for every companionship. It is a really high goal and we have to put in extra effort to reach it. But we were promised that if we did it we would find people to baptize every week. We are pushing it hard.

Elder Hendricks had his new bike stolen earlier in the week. But Elder Clegg chased the guy down on his bike and got the bike back. The guy that stole got really scared when Clegg got close and jumped off the bike, started to run then tripped in a puddle and fell really hard haha.

Everything is going awesome. Super excited for General Conference this weekend. I love you all!

Fresh oranges off the tree in Allende  There is a huge orchard right by our house.  The guy who owns it lets us pick them any time we want.  They are so good.  So much sweeter down here.

Hendricks tagged along on Friday so we were a trio

Jan 7 - Bad Toes

Jan. 7 well this last week was pretty eventful. Wednesday I had to go to the hospital to get both of my toes taken care of because I had ingrown toenails on both feet. Since it was both feet I've been unable to do anything for almost the whole week. Today I am going back to get the stitches out so I can get back to working. It isn't even cold down here. Well hope everyone has a really good week.  Elder Hoyt

Training

Hey everyone so I just finished my first week as a trainer. My new companion is Elder Peña from the Dominican Republic. He is 25 years old and is a convert of 2 and a half years. I almost feel like I am the one being trained here haha. He has so much gospel knowledge and has absolutely no problem with wanting to talk to people. He is also exactly obedient along with me. We have a baptism for the 31st coming up and we are finding more people to teach. I have a good feeling about the success we are going to have this change.  I am also excited for my Christmas call coming up on Monday next week!! I get to see my family! Tomorrow is our mission talent show/ christmas dinner and I'll be singing let it go haha.  I love you all! Talk to you next week New Trainers And your new trainee is........ 1 year mark!!!

Hey everyone! So this last week I hit my 1 year mark on the 4th! It is so weird. I don't feel like I have been out here for a year already. I have learned so much and for this last half I am going to apply what I have learned to bring out my full missionary potential!  This week we are going to be having a baptism on Saturday. And then we are going to be having changes next Tuesday so we'll see what happens there as well. I have been here in Allende for a while so there is a chance that I get changed. We are all pretty sure that Elder Hendricks is gonna be going too.  We had a cool opportunity to do some service on Saturday. We helped a guy cut some weeds and clean up his yard too. His neighbor thought we were crazy for coming here to Mexico for two years to help people, but was impressed as well.  Anyway, Love you all! Have a great week!
