Mini Miracle

Elder Hoyt and Elder Pena at Zone Conference
This week was pretty busy for us. Tons of work. So looks like I have to get glasses guys! My vision has been pretty bad these last couple of months so I finally went and took an eye exam and I be needin some glasses up in here. I´m gonna be buying them today so that will be fun. Hope I look good with glasses haha.

We had an awesome little miracle happen Saturday and Sunday, we had an investigator come to church that hasn´t ever come before. His name is Carlos.   Carlos is an old investigator that me and Elder Knighton had been teaching. He never came to church and wasn´t really completing with his commitments so we left him. Saturday night just before we were going to go back to the house, his name popped into my head and we decided to visit him. In the past Carlos has always had problems drinking a lot Saturday nights, but as we arrived we found him sober and no beer in sight. He started to tell us that during the week he had been crying and finally asked God for help and then we showed up. We taught him a little message from the Book of Mormon and invited him to church. Sunday morning he was there 10 minutes early and afterwards he said he loved it and that he is going to bring a friend next week. That is our little miracle we had.

Everything is going good here. We have had interesting weather as well. Love you all! Happy Valentines Day!

Jan 7 - Bad Toes

Jan. 7 well this last week was pretty eventful. Wednesday I had to go to the hospital to get both of my toes taken care of because I had ingrown toenails on both feet. Since it was both feet I've been unable to do anything for almost the whole week. Today I am going back to get the stitches out so I can get back to working. It isn't even cold down here. Well hope everyone has a really good week.  Elder Hoyt

Training

Hey everyone so I just finished my first week as a trainer. My new companion is Elder Peña from the Dominican Republic. He is 25 years old and is a convert of 2 and a half years. I almost feel like I am the one being trained here haha. He has so much gospel knowledge and has absolutely no problem with wanting to talk to people. He is also exactly obedient along with me. We have a baptism for the 31st coming up and we are finding more people to teach. I have a good feeling about the success we are going to have this change.  I am also excited for my Christmas call coming up on Monday next week!! I get to see my family! Tomorrow is our mission talent show/ christmas dinner and I'll be singing let it go haha.  I love you all! Talk to you next week New Trainers And your new trainee is........ 1 year mark!!!

Hey everyone! So this last week I hit my 1 year mark on the 4th! It is so weird. I don't feel like I have been out here for a year already. I have learned so much and for this last half I am going to apply what I have learned to bring out my full missionary potential!  This week we are going to be having a baptism on Saturday. And then we are going to be having changes next Tuesday so we'll see what happens there as well. I have been here in Allende for a while so there is a chance that I get changed. We are all pretty sure that Elder Hendricks is gonna be going too.  We had a cool opportunity to do some service on Saturday. We helped a guy cut some weeds and clean up his yard too. His neighbor thought we were crazy for coming here to Mexico for two years to help people, but was impressed as well.  Anyway, Love you all! Have a great week!
