Wooo!

Hola todos! We are sitting down here in 65 to 70 degree weather with bright sunshine! This last week was a big success for us here in the Allende branch. Me and Elder Peña had 7 investigators in church 4 of which will be baptized this coming Sunday the 21st. Elder Clegg and Elder Hendricks had 6 investigators in church and 4 with baptismal dates approaching. That is 13 investigators in total that we had in church! We had a grand total of 31 people attend church which is big for here.

Today has been a pretty sweet P day as well. We had pancakes for breakfast and then us 4 Elders went on a bike ride up in the mountains that turned out really cool. We found a big monument in the middle of the woods that was a cross made of stone and a bunch of stonework around it. There are some crazy rich people that have a ton of land up there as well.

I also may have baught a new bike because mine has just had too many problems. The bike I baught I'm gonna be taking with me and going to be shipping it home so I can use it there for college and whatever else I want for when I get back. I'm totally in love with it.

Anyway everything is going awesome down here and looking forward to another great week. Love you all!

Jan 7 - Bad Toes

Jan. 7 well this last week was pretty eventful. Wednesday I had to go to the hospital to get both of my toes taken care of because I had ingrown toenails on both feet. Since it was both feet I've been unable to do anything for almost the whole week. Today I am going back to get the stitches out so I can get back to working. It isn't even cold down here. Well hope everyone has a really good week.  Elder Hoyt

Training

Hey everyone so I just finished my first week as a trainer. My new companion is Elder Peña from the Dominican Republic. He is 25 years old and is a convert of 2 and a half years. I almost feel like I am the one being trained here haha. He has so much gospel knowledge and has absolutely no problem with wanting to talk to people. He is also exactly obedient along with me. We have a baptism for the 31st coming up and we are finding more people to teach. I have a good feeling about the success we are going to have this change.  I am also excited for my Christmas call coming up on Monday next week!! I get to see my family! Tomorrow is our mission talent show/ christmas dinner and I'll be singing let it go haha.  I love you all! Talk to you next week New Trainers And your new trainee is........ Elder Pena from the Dominican Republic Trainers and Trainees posing with the Pres.

1 year mark!!!

Hey everyone! So this last week I hit my 1 year mark on the 4th! It is so weird. I don't feel like I have been out here for a year already. I have learned so much and for this last half I am going to apply what I have learned to bring out my full missionary potential!  This week we are going to be having a baptism on Saturday. And then we are going to be having changes next Tuesday so we'll see what happens there as well. I have been here in Allende for a while so there is a chance that I get changed. We are all pretty sure that Elder Hendricks is gonna be going too.  We had a cool opportunity to do some service on Saturday. We helped a guy cut some weeds and clean up his yard too. His neighbor thought we were crazy for coming here to Mexico for two years to help people, but was impressed as well.  Anyway, Love you all! Have a great week!
