River ride of a week

Hola a toda mi familia! So this week turned out to be kind of a river ride. We had 4 baptisms planned for this last Sunday. We ended up having to move them to the next week because they all went out of town for the weekend. We have had a ton of opposition with one of our investigator families. The father wants them to coninue in their old chuch and not let his wife and kids get baptized. We have been paying for him to soften his heart.
This week in church was really good. We had 38 people in church and 10 investigators. We almost can't fit anymore into our tiny house of prayer. We are close to having a chappel built here in Allende. That is super exciting.
Today we went on a little adventure down to the river that is here in Allende. It is super pretty down there and I got some sweet pics but I don't have my camera cord to transfer them. Sorry. Me and Elder Clegg took our sweet new bikes and we gave a good run through. They are super sweet! The weather has been perfect down here. Sun and clear skies. like 65 or 70 degrees. It actually got super cold the first part of last week. So the weather has been doing it's own little river ride ha.
Les amo mucho!!!

Jan 7 - Bad Toes

Jan. 7 well this last week was pretty eventful. Wednesday I had to go to the hospital to get both of my toes taken care of because I had ingrown toenails on both feet. Since it was both feet I've been unable to do anything for almost the whole week. Today I am going back to get the stitches out so I can get back to working. It isn't even cold down here. Well hope everyone has a really good week.  Elder Hoyt

Training

Hey everyone so I just finished my first week as a trainer. My new companion is Elder Peña from the Dominican Republic. He is 25 years old and is a convert of 2 and a half years. I almost feel like I am the one being trained here haha. He has so much gospel knowledge and has absolutely no problem with wanting to talk to people. He is also exactly obedient along with me. We have a baptism for the 31st coming up and we are finding more people to teach. I have a good feeling about the success we are going to have this change.  I am also excited for my Christmas call coming up on Monday next week!! I get to see my family! Tomorrow is our mission talent show/ christmas dinner and I'll be singing let it go haha.  I love you all! Talk to you next week New Trainers And your new trainee is........ 1 year mark!!!

Hey everyone! So this last week I hit my 1 year mark on the 4th! It is so weird. I don't feel like I have been out here for a year already. I have learned so much and for this last half I am going to apply what I have learned to bring out my full missionary potential!  This week we are going to be having a baptism on Saturday. And then we are going to be having changes next Tuesday so we'll see what happens there as well. I have been here in Allende for a while so there is a chance that I get changed. We are all pretty sure that Elder Hendricks is gonna be going too.  We had a cool opportunity to do some service on Saturday. We helped a guy cut some weeds and clean up his yard too. His neighbor thought we were crazy for coming here to Mexico for two years to help people, but was impressed as well.  Anyway, Love you all! Have a great week!
