Hola mi familia y todos mis amigos! This last week we had changes. It was a little tough to say goodbye to Elder Peña but it was time for a change. I'm still here in Sabinas with my new companion Elder Quilter. He has 11 months in the mission and is super cool. He is from Park City Utah and before the mission he worked as a river guide on the Colorado river. It has been interesting leading now. Showing around the area and everything. He's had some pretty fun ideas too. We went to one of the plazas near our house at around 8 at night. Elder Quilter can play the Harmonica and the piano. So in the plaza Elder Quilter played the harmonica and I sang hymns. It was super cool. We met a few cool people that way. We are also gonna start doing English and piano classes every Saturday in the Chapel now. It is fun to start trying different things. It has been killer heat down here but the canicula should be ending in a few weeks.
Today we went to the Turbina and saw this live Mexican band playing in a little pavilion. They were super cool. We have this guy named Jesus that said he would like to be baptized but before we pick a date he wants to read the Book of Mormon a little more. We also found this really cool young lady named Edith who can hear but she can't speak. Her Mom said that she wanted to come to our church and we showed her the video of the restoration and she loved it. So we have high hopes for those two.
I love you guys! Talk to you next week!
