Happy 4th of July!!

This week was a pretty good one. We did a ton of contacting. On Tuesday we found this older couple. The wife didn't really talk to us because she had to go somewhere but the husband did. His name is Oscar. He wasn't interested in the message much but he was super kind. He has a ranch about 6 miles outside of town. He actually invited us to come one day and see all the animals and maybe even teach us how to ride a horse!! We are probably going to do that for P day next week. Friday and Saturday we pretty much contacted for half the day because we need more investigators. I got roasted by the heat pretty terribly on Saturday and ended up getting a little sick. Yes I've been drinking water, but the heat is just so bad it hardly helps.

Today has been pretty sweet! after washing our clothes me and Elder Peña made ourselves a pizza from scratch. Dough and everything. It was super good! Anyway, the work progresses here in Sabinas Hidalgo. Love you all.

Jan 7 - Bad Toes

Jan. 7 well this last week was pretty eventful. Wednesday I had to go to the hospital to get both of my toes taken care of because I had ingrown toenails on both feet. Since it was both feet I've been unable to do anything for almost the whole week. Today I am going back to get the stitches out so I can get back to working. It isn't even cold down here. Training

Hey everyone so I just finished my first week as a trainer. My new companion is Elder Peña from the Dominican Republic. He is 25 years old and is a convert of 2 and a half years. I almost feel like I am the one being trained here haha. He has so much gospel knowledge and has absolutely no problem with wanting to talk to people. He is also exactly obedient along with me. We have a baptism for the 31st coming up and we are finding more people to teach. I have a good feeling about the success we are going to have this change.  I am also excited for my Christmas call coming up on Monday next week!! I get to see my family! Tomorrow is our mission talent show/ christmas dinner and I'll be singing let it go haha.  I love you all! Talk to you next week New Trainers And your new trainee is........ 1 year mark!!!

Hey everyone! So this last week I hit my 1 year mark on the 4th! It is so weird. I don't feel like I have been out here for a year already. I have learned so much and for this last half I am going to apply what I have learned to bring out my full missionary potential!  This week we are going to be having a baptism on Saturday. And then we are going to be having changes next Tuesday so we'll see what happens there as well. I have been here in Allende for a while so there is a chance that I get changed. We are all pretty sure that Elder Hendricks is gonna be going too.  We had a cool opportunity to do some service on Saturday. We helped a guy cut some weeds and clean up his yard too. His neighbor thought we were crazy for coming here to Mexico for two years to help people, but was impressed as well.  Anyway, Love you all! Have a great week!
