He Made It!

April 4, 2017
6:40 AM - We arrived at the airport and checked Dallin in for his flight.  We then made our way up the escalator to the security gate.  We had to say our goodbyes there.  We then watched as he made his way through the winding lines until we couldn't see him anymore.  It was so sad to watch him get further and further away, both of us with tears.   We eventually left the airport, the whole process taking less than an hour.  We stopped at IHOP for breakfast on the way home.  It was a very emotional morning, kind of the end of a crazy emotional week.  I found myself looking at my phone to see what time it was and if his plane was taking off yet.  As dinner time rolled around, I found myself checking my email often, hoping I would get word that he made it.

5:48pm-
I made it to the MTC just fine. The roads are crazy! no one uses their blinkers and the lines are pretty much just suggestions.
My Pday is going to be on thursdays starting next week. My companion is Elder Ballard. We had pizza for dinner. Love you!

Jan 7 - Bad Toes

Jan. 7 well this last week was pretty eventful. Wednesday I had to go to the hospital to get both of my toes taken care of because I had ingrown toenails on both feet. Since it was both feet I've been unable to do anything for almost the whole week. Today I am going back to get the stitches out so I can get back to working. It isn't even cold down here. Well hope everyone has a really good week.  Elder Hoyt

Training

Hey everyone so I just finished my first week as a trainer. My new companion is Elder Peña from the Dominican Republic. He is 25 years old and is a convert of 2 and a half years. I almost feel like I am the one being trained here haha. He has so much gospel knowledge and has absolutely no problem with wanting to talk to people. He is also exactly obedient along with me. We have a baptism for the 31st coming up and we are finding more people to teach. I have a good feeling about the success we are going to have this change.  I am also excited for my Christmas call coming up on Monday next week!! I get to see my family! Tomorrow is our mission talent show/ christmas dinner and I'll be singing let it go haha.  I love you all! Talk to you next week New Trainers And your new trainee is........ 1 year mark!!!

Hey everyone! So this last week I hit my 1 year mark on the 4th! It is so weird. I don't feel like I have been out here for a year already. I have learned so much and for this last half I am going to apply what I have learned to bring out my full missionary potential!  This week we are going to be having a baptism on Saturday. And then we are going to be having changes next Tuesday so we'll see what happens there as well. I have been here in Allende for a while so there is a chance that I get changed. We are all pretty sure that Elder Hendricks is gonna be going too.  We had a cool opportunity to do some service on Saturday. We helped a guy cut some weeds and clean up his yard too. His neighbor thought we were crazy for coming here to Mexico for two years to help people, but was impressed as well.  Anyway, Love you all! Have a great week!
